Our small businesses are in crisis. Almost half of small business owners do not believe they will be able to continue operations beyond the end of this year without more federal assistance.
Small businesses are essential to the United States. They employ almost half of all private-sector workers and account for 44 percent of our nation’s GDP. They also are essential to our communities. They are vital employers and innovators. They support our churches, youth sports teams and civic events. Without them, there would be no Main Streets in America.
Please join us in urging our elected leaders to transcend partisanship and forge meaningful agreement on an assistance package to help our struggling small businesses and, in turn, tens of millions of Americans. It’s time to put politics aside and get to work on the next round of COVID-19 relief legislation, which must include comprehensive recovery assistance for small businesses.
"Republicans and Democrats already agree that small businesses are essential to the fabric of our communities and economy," the petition states. "It is time to put that belief to work."
Join us to save retailers, restaurants, suppliers, manufacturers, and the overall U.S. economy.
I’d like to tell the President and our Congressional leaders that:
"Republicans and Democrats already agree that small businesses are essential to the fabric of our communities and economy. It is time to put that belief to work."
“At this moment of crisis, we urge you to transcend partisanship and forge meaningful agreement on an assistance package to help our struggling small businesses and, in turn, tens of millions of Americans.”
- Howard Schultz, entrepreneur and business leader
The Small Business Recovery Initiative is giving voice to small business owners across America who are tired of the partisan, political games in Washington, D.C. Small businesses drive America’s economy and we need our leaders to come together and pass meaningful assistance packages for our struggling small businesses.
